This is a 4 hour workshop. Behind a 20cm tall golden chair, which is secured to a solid wooden platform, stands a 19cm tall clown. He is lavishly dressed in fine silk with gold braids, tassels and fancy ribbon decorations.
Friday 8th 2.00pm - 6.00pm (REPEATED)Saturday 9th 2.15pm - 6.15pm Both held at The Adelaide Festival Centre
The shoulder head is FG Colette. The shoulder head and hands are made of porcelain and the feet are composition. When you turn the crank the clown performs acrobatics, flipping over the chair, sitting or standing on the chair before he flips back again to the standing position.
A must have for your collection. This is inspired by the mechanical toys that were made in the 1890's.
In the workshop you will assemble the doll, finish off the costume and decorate it. You will also make a wig and a little hat and of course install him ready to do his acrobatics.
